The Trecker Library collection supports graduate programs in social work, public policy and education, as well as a growing number of undergraduate programs at the West Hartford Campus of the University of Connecticut. Besides print resources, students have access to numerous electronic databases, some full text. These databases and other library services can be accessed off-campus as well. Materials not held by Trecker Library can be requested via Document Delivery/Interlibrary Loan.

Students having access to the Internet can request materials electronically. With a valid UConn Husky One Card, students may borrow directly from Storrs or from any of the regional campus libraries. Two photocopy machines and the One Card printer are available on the main floor of Trecker Library. The Trecker Library contains approximately 75,000 volumes and 225 print journal titles. Additional journal titles are available on campus and remotely via electronic databases. The Social Work material covers the five major practice method specializations, as well as the curriculum’s substantive areas. In addition to the Social Work Librarian, three reference librarians are available to assist students in using the library and in conducting literature searches.
